Perfect Stays

Video Production for Luxury Holiday Homes

The Partnership

Perfect Stays is where it all started. They were one of our very first clients, right at the beginning of PixelRain’s journey, and we’ve been working together ever since. It’s our longest partnership by some distance, and it’s shaped how we think about property content.

Over the years, we’ve filmed dozens of properties across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. We’ve watched the portfolio grow and evolve: from beautiful holiday homes to some of the most striking contemporary architecture and luxury accommodation in the South West. The properties have changed, the standards have risen, and we’ve grown with them.

What makes this relationship work is trust built over time. The Perfect Stays marketing team knows how we work. We know their brand inside out. When a new property joins the portfolio, we sit down together, explore the space, understand its character, research the local area, and plan how to capture it at its best. Every property is different. Some are all about the view. Others are about the architecture, the interiors, the way light moves through a space. We find what makes each one special and build the film around that.

Built Into the Website

One of the things we’re most proud of with this partnership is how deeply our video content is woven into the Perfect Stays website. When you land on a property page, the first thing you see is our film. Not a photo, not a description: a video header that instantly gives you the feeling of being there.

It’s a brilliant way to present properties because video does something photography can’t. You see how the light interacts with a room. You feel the scale of a space. You watch the view change as the camera moves through the house and out onto the terrace. It gives every property an instant sense of realness that a gallery of stills simply can’t replicate.

We keep the homepage reel updated too, refreshing it with the seasons. Right now it’s showing a winter version: lifestyle content we shot to give a flavour of Christmas, New Year, and the quieter months in Cornwall. When summer rolls around, it changes again. The website always feels current, always feels alive.

Brand and Lifestyle Campaigns

The partnership goes beyond individual property films. We also work with Perfect Stays on broader brand and lifestyle content.

One recent project is their concierge campaign, designed to showcase the experiences and suppliers that make a Perfect Stays holiday feel complete. We produced profile films for their concierge partners: short, characterful pieces that introduce the people behind the services. The first was George of George’s Surf School in Polzeath, filmed out on the beach with the waves and the energy of a surf lesson. The second featured Rob Michael of Flavour and Wine, capturing the personality behind their wine and dining experiences.

These aren’t promotional videos. They’re introductions. You get a sense of the person, their passion, the experience they offer. It fits the Perfect Stays brand perfectly: it’s about the people and the place, not just the property.

Every Property Tells a Different Story

No two Perfect Stays properties are the same, and we approach each one on its own terms.

Some demand drone work: sweeping coastal locations, clifftop positions, gardens that only make sense from above. Others are all about the interiors: the materials, the furniture, the architectural details that make a space feel considered. We work with the marketing team to understand what makes each property stand out, then plan the shoot around those characteristics.

The local area matters too. A property in Mawgan Porth feels different to one in Rock or Daymer Bay. The beach, the village, the walk from the front door: all of it goes into the film. We’re not just showing a house. We’re showing what it feels like to stay there.

Over the years, we’ve built up a deep knowledge of these locations. We know the best light, the best angles, the best time of day. That comes from doing this work consistently, year after year, with a team that understands the brief before it’s even written.
